Applications are now open for our 2027 Master of Meteorology (MMet) course!

For more than 25 years, Te Ratonga Tirorangi MetService has supported the development of New Zealand's next generation of meteorologists, helping build the expertise needed to keep communities informed and safe.

Delivered in partnership with Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand's only Master of Meteorology (MMet) programme is taught to World Meteorological Organization (WMO) standards and provides an internationally recognised qualification.

Scholarship opportunities available
This year, MetService is offering scholarships to successful applicants, including a living allowance paid in instalments, totalling $36,000 and payment of domestic tuition fees.

Applications for both the programme and scholarship close at 4.30pm on Sunday, 1 November.

Please note: if you are interested in the Master of Meteorology and the scholarship on offer, you will need to apply for the scholarship through Te Herenga Waka Victoria University.
