MetService Public Reputation Index Results

MetService has ranked second equal in the 2023 NZ Public Sector Reputation Index.

The index serves as an independent benchmark, evaluating the reputation of nearly 60 public sector organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand. Reputation is measured across categories of trust, social responsibility, leadership and fairness.

General Manager Customer Engagement Belinda James says, “We’re delighted to share second place with the Department of Conservation.  And hats off to Fire and Emergency NZ for taking the top spot.” “As the impact of severe weather becomes more evident, we are more determined than ever to keep our fellow Kiwis weather-ready. Knowing that we are trusted is integral to everything we do so you thank New Zealand for your support.”

“We are also incredibly grateful for the efforts of our amazing team and all our partners who play a crucial role in protecting Aotearoa.”

MetService has been ranked in the top five agencies for the last three years.

The ranking reflects the views of 3,500 New Zealanders (a nationally representative sample) and these interviews took place between 17 March and 12 April 2023.
